About Classes

Early Bird Hot/Warm

This class is just for our early birds! Start your day off on a great foot with this beautiful class. Students work on flexibility, strength and balance, while warmimg the muscles and flushing toxins from the body.  This class does not have a set sequence, postures and techniques are taught at the discretion of the teacher.

Tri- Hot/ warm

Thid class is practiced in a heated room allowing students to work with their flexibility, strength and balance, while the heat warms the muscles and helps to flush toxins from the body. Postures are held longer focusing on strength. Limited flowing movements.  This Class does not have a set sequence, postures and techniques are taught at the discretion of the instructor.

Tri-Hot/Flow  Beginners & Beyond

These class  move at a gentle pace, introducing basic yoga poses (asana). New students will learn the basics of yoga, while more seasoned students will gain a better, more detailed understanding of the alignment of the poses, as well as the underlying philosophy of the yoga practice. These classes will teach you how to move safely into and out of the poses, as well as how to modify the poses for your body. You will gain a basic understanding of the practice and – most importantly – you will learn to steady your body, your breath and your mind. Flow based classes will introduce sun salutations and flowing movements.

Tri-Hot/Warm Flow

This is a flowing form of yoga that heals, detoxifies and electrifies the body and mind at their deepest levels. This fast paced flowing class will put your mind and body to the test. This Class does not have a set sequence, postures and techniques are taught at the discretion of the instructor.

Tri-Warm (Strenght & Soul)

Simplified postures, challenging intensity with a focus on building core strength. It will work every part of your body and challenge you mentally as well as physically. Recommended for confident beginners to advanced practitioners.

Yang/ Yin

The first half of this class will be a hot flow class focusing on strength, flexibility and balance. In  the second half of the class will move into the quiet practice of Yin, which allows the connective tissues and the joints of the body to open, increasing flexibility while creating a calm and centered mind. Postures in the yin portion of the class are held for 3-5minutes.

Tri-Hot/Warm Core

This class will put your core to the test! This flowing yoga class will focus on building core strength.

Tri-Hot Yin/Restorative

This is a gentle and meditative style of yoga. It is a relaxed and restful practice that creates specific physiological responses that are beneficial to the overall health. It is also effective in reducing the effects of stress. This is a great class to bring balance to an existing physical practice or for students working through injuries or just needing some time to unwind and bring balance back into a stressful time of life.

Sweat – Breath – Meditate

Practices taught in this class will include a 40 minutes asana (postures) practice in the heated studio the second half of the class is woven together with yoga philosophy, breathing methods and deep meditation. Everyone is encouraged to go at their own speed when taking on new practices. The aim of these classes is to assist every practitioner to move deeper into their yoga practice by incorporating meditation and breath work into the practice.

Karma

All karma classes will be by donation with money going to “drop in the bucket” a not for profit foundation dedicated to providing safe drinking water and sanitation for people in need.  Suitable for all levels. This class is practiced in 30C room.

Kundalini

Our Kundalini yoga class is open to all levels. We teach a traditional style, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, utilizing postures, movement and stretching along with breath, sound current and meditation to work all aspects of your being. This yoga is a practical and powerful tool for self-healing, it helps to calm the mind and emotions, balance the glandular system and strengthen the nervous system. Through this sacred science you will learn to raise your ‘kundalini energy’ (your true creative potential), and bring body, mind and soul into balance.

    Hot Classes room temperature is at 102F/39C

    Warm Classes room temperature is at 90F/30C

    AYP – Beginner (level 1)

    AYP (The Advanced Yoga Practices) is an open and integrated, eight limbed system of yoga designed to help unfold natural ecstatic radiance (kundalini). The techniques act directly through the heart, mind, body, breath and sexuality. Practices taught in the Beginners Class include deep meditation using an efficient universal mantra, spinal breathing methods, asanas, and an integration of hatha, kundalini and tantra techniques all used to steadily cultivate inner peace and enlightenment through daily practice. Each class is woven together with a lesson in yoga philosophy. Everyone is encouraged to go at their own speed in taking on new practices and much attention is devoted to developing skills in “self-pacing.” The aim of these classes is to assist every practitioner in becoming self-sufficient in yoga.
